About + FAQ
Send Me Something™ is a special kind of product and a special kind of shop. You never know exactly what you’re going to get, but we promise, it’s Something™.
Where do Somethings™ come from?
Somethings come from all sorts of places; yard sales, estate sales, businesses going out of business, dumpsters and the side of the road are the most common places. Our Something Searchers™ go out hunting for treasure to send to you. Sometimes, that treasure comes from a yard sale. Other times, it comes from an anonymous phone call from someone looking to unload something unique. We acquire all of these goodies, sort through them, assess value and then get them ready for shipping to you.
Is Send Me Something™ eco-friendly?
Yep. All of our Somethings are what many people call up-cycled. They are not newly manufactured or anything like that. They are unique finds that we clean up and send to you. We are energy conscious (turning lights off, things like that) and we take into consideration our materials usage. We also recycle. You’ll also notice the majority of the packing material is re-used.
How do my Somethings™ come packaged?
We make sure the presentation of our Somethings™ is enjoyable and fun. Your Somethings™ will be securely wrapped and protected. Then, we wrap all of that (your Somethings™ and their protective wrapping) in some colored tissue. An official Send Me Something™ sticker goes on that. We also include a special telegram envelope with your invoice (pricing information does not appear on the invoice) and we also include a few goodies in with the telegram envelope. Every Something™ comes wrapped up and ready for gifting, even if it’s just for yourself.
This is a gift, do you do gift-wrapping?
Every Something™ is gift-wrapped and fully gift-able. Pricing information does not show up anywhere in or on the package.
When do you ship your Somethings™?
All Somethings™ ship on Wednesdays. If you order before 6pm Sunday night, your Something™ will ship the next Wednesday.
Why do you do it like this; why not sell the items individually?
A few reasons. First, it’s not as fun and there would be no surprise. Second, our prices would be much higher if we had to individually photograph each item and upload it to our website. Everyone has a right to Something™, so we feel it’s most important to keep our costs low. Third, you can already buy these items individually if you search hard enough. Plus, sometimes, we find Somethings™ that are one-of-a-kind, truly amazing and special and we like to slip those goodies into customer’s boxes as a surprise.
What if I get something that isn’t worth as much as I spent?
That’s a difficult question. First, your Something(s) might be worth a lot more in 5 or 10 years. Or even next month. Second, you are not receiving a new item; you are receiving a special find that’s been cleaned up and prepared just for you. Third, this is how Send Me Something™ works. We’ll send you Something™. Value is in the eye of the beholder.
Can I tell you specifically what I’m looking for? Or not looking for?
Yes, just put your comments in the little box when you check out. We can’t guarantee we have it, but we always always always do our best. We do our best, but don’t hold your breath. Certain and specific Somethings™ are hard to come by.
Where is my Something™ shipping from?
It’s being shipped from Cincinnati, Ohio via USPS Priority Mail.
What if I don’t like it?
Well, maybe give it as a gift to someone else. We don’t accept returns or exchanges due to the nature of our product.
How do I know my Something™ is unique?
A hand-stamped card listing your unique order number is enclosed with each Something™. It’s your Certificate of Authenticity.
I shared this website on one of my social networks; now what?

Nothing. We’re just out to share Somethings™ with the world, and only that. We don’t ship items that are known to be hazardous, but please be aware that many years ago, many things were painted with paint containing lead. We do not test any of our Somethings™ for lead paint. This is common in vintage toys and similar items. If something happens to you because of your Something™, Send Me Something™ and our affiliates are not liable.
