We are pretty sure the recipient of Order No. 26 was not expecting a box full of cats.

We are also fairly certain the recipient probably did not already have a cat collection.

Well, now he does.

Even though they’re ceramic, they will still judge you.

The one above is a little creepy. Or maybe a little depressed. And to overcompensate, she went crazy on the eyeliner and mascara. Or maybe this kitty had too much drinky-drinky? We’d like to hear the recipients take on this.

See, we had the scene set in our minds. We thought, what would this recipient need in order to have a proper teatime?

Then we saw it.

Placemats! (We included two vintage mats featuring scenes from Cincinnati)

Tea cups! (Two milk-glass mint condition cups are shown below)

Lighting! (A pink votive holder will cast a rosy light around the room)

Scenery! (A golden wall sconce is just waiting to hold greenery high above the floors)

Tea! (We included our favorite blend)

We searched and searched until we found this:

Why yes, that is a 14″ tall carousel handmade a long time ago that is also a music box. And yes, accompanying that is a wall hanging featuring an eagle promoting both love and peace. We felt that these two items would make very special additions to a brand new home.

Here’s a detail shot of the carousel. It really is incredible.

The sender reported to us that the recipient likes seashells, vintage things, yellow, classic music, traveling (esp South America).

We were lucky enough to stumble upon a vintage crystal jar from the 60s filled with all kinds of seashells. There are at least 16 varieties of seashell inside the jar pictured below. We also included a gold trimmed tea cup, because we felt the recipient probably ponders lots of things on a regular basis, and drinking tea lends itself to that activity.

Have you spotted the bust of Stephen Foster, also known as the “Father of American Music?” How’s that for ‘classic music’? We hope the recipient will appreciate this. Stephen Foster wrote songs like “My Old Kentucky Home,”Oh! Susana,” and “Beautiful Dreamer.” This was particularly hard for us to part with because Stephen Foster lived in Cincinnati for much of his adult life. In fact, he wrote “Oh! Susana” while he was here. (Send Me Something is based in Cincinnati.)

And, to complete the ensemble, we included a beautiful copper engraved image of two people collecting syrup from maple trees. Everyone needs a picture like that around the house.

Three figures (in black) say ‘hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil’ with their beautiful gestures. We are fairly certain the figures are hand carved out of coal as the items originated near Charleston, West Virginia and carving things out of coal is pretty popular out that way.

We thought perhaps the recipient might enjoy sipping tea out of a beautiful, gold-trimmed tea cup while reading one of the best memory books of all time [cure absentmindedness---forever!]. We envisioned the beautiful wall hanging circa 1975 hanging above the recipients head and the beautiful holiday decoration sitting on a table, lighting up a room.

To help you grasp how beautiful the holiday decoration is, we included a few additional photos below.

Someone took a high-quality glass block and inserted a string of lights into it. Beautiful? Yes. We think so.

Magic. That’s what is in this SUPER Something, pure magic.

In the foreground, you’ll see a box. This box was hand carved many years ago. Notice the hand stained wood. This is a unique little box and it says ‘St Maarlen.’ (however, we think it might say St. Maarten since this box likely originated out of the Caribbean.)
